The best underwear for sensory kids! | Autism PDD

Just a little memo for anyone that has a boy child with sensory issues- My
son hates the elestic in the underwear and the tags so, I bought Hanes boxer
breifs. They have no elestic and no tags and they are very soft and GREAT!That is so funny you should post that cause I just bought those too. The boys aren't potty trained yet but I got some PODS and we are really going to work on it. I thought they might like those better.Payne likes those as well.

So does Chris and he's chuffed to bits to be like his dad now. Chris was awful about tags. I still have to cut them out of his clothes though. This was one of the first sensory problems I remember him having. Food was the next.

Does this issue get better as they get older? Hope so!

Hanes are great.  No tags, no exposed elastic.  It's our preferred brand, too.We just bought some for my son as well.  He was complaining about his briefs being "too tight", so I decided to try something new and bought him the knit boxers.  He absolutely loves them and it's the only type he'll wear now.  Think it makes him feel "grown up" because dad wears them, too. I also buy joe boxer and bigger size so its not so tight. I use to have this problem a year ago, since he is fully trained not much .I will have to check that out. Noah hates tags and anything with itchy materialMaybe I'll get some of these for my husband. For no other reason than that he's a comfort junkie.

As for the smaller people in the house...we're still doing the diaper-go-round but if the day ever comes that anybody around here under four feet tall pees in anything other than a diaper or a lap...I'll be buying Hanes!!!!!!!!!!!!
heck ya boxers rock!! Of course anything with a tag is absolutly unwareible until the tag is removed in my opinion, unfortunatly by doing so you loose the laundry instructions, hahah.Tried em and no dice here lol.  My son is still in pull ups despite pretty much being potty trained because he can't handle em.  I'm still trying to find things that work.  Last night it was sweats with no pull up.you can always buy em too big if its a tightness problem.  One of my kids (4yo but big for his age)  Will not wear any type of underwear below a size 7.  in pants its a 6.   they stay on, and he isnt uncomfortable.  what ever works!Skylar also prefers the boxer briefs.
