I'm sure it's been done before but I thought we should make a list of foods our kids eat. I need some new ideas to try. My son won't eat pasta or rice or hamburger. I think it's texture thing. I thought we should have a soft and hard food list.

What kind of protein powder do you use? Where do you find it? We do smoothies daily and it is the only way to get in the good stuff. His protein intake is getting lower and I wanted to get a protein powder.

crackers
cereal
pasta
muffins

cheese
milk

tomato soup (believe it or not--how the h*ll did anything THAT healthy get in here??)
corn, very very very occasionally
apple juice

some types of chicken
hamburgers, sometimes
ribs, sometimes

yogurt (once in a blue moon)

candy...obviously we keep this one to a minimum

Mine will probably be the shortest there is.

Brendon eats round foods.

Jacob eats pasta and meats that we can make him belive are chicken.

Your list is bigger than mine:)

Breakfast: apple juice and occassionally toast or cheese stick, sometimes rice krispies or lucky charms cereal

Lunch: pb&jelly sandwich, hot dog, ham, turkey, cheese,crackers ..any kind of chips, fruit roll ups

Dinner: chicken strip/nuggets, fries, corn on the cob(has to be on the cob!)mac & cheese (michalino's) , fish sticks

dessert: ice cream, popsickle, yogurt..sometimes cake

She wont eat green things or hamburger whatsoever :P

Here's mine, not much variation.

Breakfast: Honey Graham Life Cereal, or Pancakes(Eggo brand) w/ syrup

Lunch: BallPark Bun length hot dog(regular, not all beef-he won't eat these too greasy)cut into circles with the skin peeled off,  Utz Ripple Potato Chips(these are Gluten free for anyone who's interested) one Pepperidge Farms Snickerdoodle cookie.

Dinner: (this is so sad, but he's healthy....) Cinnamon Life Cereal or Rice Chex cereal with cut up banannas.

Before Bedtime: 1 small bowl Snyders pretzels(the reg ones) and milk.

Snacks: Banannas, Cheezits(when avail) Teddy Grams, sometimes apple sauce when he's in the mood.

He will also eat Pizza but only once a week, he also likes spaghetti O's without the sauce, same with ABC's and 123's, these are subbed for the hotdog at lunch at times just to change it up a bit. Also plain spaghetti again no sauce.

as far as drinks go, Juicy Juice Apple bannana, or berry or punch.

We have tried to introduce new foods but he is very picky about what he will eat, he is also allergic to peanuts(so I guess the picky part is a good thing) He has never been a child to pick just anything up and put it in his mouth w/o first smelling it and touching his face with it. He will on occasion eat french fries, plain ice cream cones(just the cone) he has eaten ice cream but is not fond of it.

He gets a vitamin supplement every morning in his juice.

oh yeah...almost forgot...he LOVES popcorn!

Alex will eat most anything as long as spaghetti noodles are involved.  I have come up with some crazy sauces.

Other than that -- it is slim.

My oldest ds it's pb&j, chicken nuggets, cheetos, macaroni and cheese, ravioli, eggs, pancakes, french toast, turkey or ham sandwiches, string cheese, bananas, apples, fries, scandanvian meatballs, chocolate or candy and noodles and occsionally a hamburger.

My youngest ds it's pb&j, yougurt, chicken nuggets, eggs, turkey and cheese, macaroni, ravioli, spaghetti, cheesy rice, string cheese, crackers, cheetos, fries, hamburger on occasion, and chocolate.

when Don moved in at 6 1/2 years old, he ate:

plain chips, dorito chips, cheezies, chocolate chip cookies, smarties,
mcnuggets (had to be from mcdonalds), fries, white bread with peanut
butter, dry fruit loops cereal or dry cheerios, clear juices, popcorn, water.

He was super-underweight and constantly sick.

We used an ABA-style program. Today, he eats whatever he is asked,
although it sometimes takes prompting, encouragement, and a bit of
tough love He's now actually a bit OVERweight, and enjoys eating,
instead of it being a battle. I'm really, really proud of where his eating is
at - we never thought he'd make as much progress as he has. Now I
believe that by the time he's an adult he won't even be fussy anymore.

His favourite foods, which he'll eat without any fuss or input from us are:

meat (any, but chicken is his favourite)
rice
pasta with sauce but no veggies
corn (on the cob or off)
grilled cheese
bread in general
potatoes (baked, boiled, fried - he loves potatoes)
cereal that doesn't have dried fruit, granola, or nuts
oatmeal
eggs
clear juices, water, milk
pretty much any/all junk food (hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, candy, ice
cream, cake, etc.)

He'll sometimes ask for or initiate eating carrots also (raw or cooked)

Foods he genuinely dislikes, that aren't just part of his "fussiness":
peas
yams
bananas
anything yogurt or pudding consistency

If anybody wants to hear the big long process of how we got Don to eat,
feel free to PM me

MY 5 YRARS ASD WILL EAT.

PIZZA-MACCRONI CHEESE-BREAD-EGG-OATMEAL=DONUT-CINIMEN ROLL-CHICKEN STRIP-FISH-HOT TEA-PEPSSI-CANDSY-GUM-CEREAL-POPCORN-CHIPS-CHICKEN SPAGGETTI.breakfast: frozen pancakes or waffles, cheerios or rice crispies with milk( he loves milk) and milk to drink

snack: juice, anything crunchy, bananas, apples and just started eating aduly yogurt

dinner: loves any kind of dinner rolls with butter, plain sphagetti(I only buy barilla wholegrain) with butter and parmesan cheese and no sauce, any kind of chicken, corn, rice, french fries or pizza. Sometimes I make french toast and scrambled eggs.

He loves french fries but mashed potatoes have always been a problem, he can't tolerate the testure of them

dessert: cookies, ice cream, cake, italian ice, loves making brownies or milkshakes with me.momof139383.7590046296

Sounds like a lot of kids eat alike.

Parker likes hardly anything for breakfast. He will only eat sausage, toast or snack foods.

For lunch he likes: Garlic potato soup, McDonald's fries and nuggets, sausage again, hot dogs, salami with cheese on the side, taco meet and cheese, chili from a can, and sometimes chicken bakes from Costco.

For snack he sometimes likes cheese sticks, cheese it's, pickles, goldfish crackers, banana's and almost any kind of chip. (sometimes Hershey bar pieces or m$m's)(oh yeah, and cake)

For dinner he likes about the same as lunch. If we have pizza, he just picks the pepperoni off and eats that. We have to order double pep or we'll all be stuck eating cheese pizza, lol. He is a really picky boy. He has at least licked a couple things lately before saying no to them. I'm proud of him for that.

Patrick likes to eat: Eggo pancakes or waffles for breakfast; most cereals; bagel (Lenders) with butter toasted; sometimes toast. He loves fruit - grapes - bananas - cantelope - I try to dress up his plate with a starch and then some fruit cut up so he gets to pick while watching cartoons before school.

Lunch - is hard - rameen noodles (seems alot of the children like this).. progresso chicken noodle soup - only eats grilled cheese at home - it must get too soggy at school - yogurt - sometimes -

dinner french frieds - chicken cutlet breaded and fried - meatloaf - he likes most veggies - thank goodness - and sometimes white rice - I have to help him eat that - it gets messy - hot dogs -

and of course Patrick loves pretzels, chips - salty - foods he can pick on -

oh and loves, loves, clausen dill pickles - the snackin' kind..............

Breakfast - will eat Yogurt, frosted strawberry poptart, honeybuns, pancake, sometimes muffin, biscuits w/jelly and most recently toast.

Lunch - mac n cheese, chicken nuggets (only those w/no pepper) vienna sausage, cracker w/butter on top, appleasauce, ramen noodles (beef or chicken) pizza (asks for pepperoni and pulls them off and eats the rest) go figure. .sometimes, fish.

veggies - only green beans and green peas and not much and not always.

fruits - bananas, dried mango, applesauce but not apple slices.

drinks - strawberry and regular 2% milk. apple and fruit juices

deserts - loves ice cream and cookies.

snacks- gold fish, vanilla waffers, cheetoes, cheese its.

Refuses beef in any form or fashion.  Also eggs.

Most recently, ate a piece of bacon for the first time Yeah!  I had previously offered her turkey bacon which I love and she refused.  DH said he didn't blame her.  The bacon she ate was regular pork off of his plate.

ttfn

C's favorite foods are:  pancakes, chicken & pork potstickers with rice, tortellini, macaroni & cheese, penne with butter & parmesean, pizza, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, cinnamon buns, apples, banannas, chips, french fries & corn on the cob.  And of course he loves a Happy Meal - either cheeseburger or nuggets!

He eats pretty well for the most part.  Not too ritualized.  He has his favorites for sure like all kids do but overall not super picky.  He'll even eat stuff like calamari & shrimp when we're at a restaurant.  He LOVES restaurants - favorite by far is Benihana where the chef cooks at the table.

Breakfast : Waffles, Cereal, Pop Tarts, Bacon, Toast - won't eat eggs though

Lunch: Any of those lunchable things, Chicken Nuggets, PB & J, Ham & Cheese, Pizza - doesn't want pepperoni it though.

Dinner: Anything...but if you give him a choice it usually will be fish or chicken of some sort

Dislikes: french fries at the moment
Likes: Any fruit/vegetable out there - raw or cooked. LOVES asparagus and broccoli
Breakfast:usually one of the following-waffles,pancakes,muffins, banana
or pumkin bread, or wheat cinnamon-raisin toast (with creamcheese), or
oatmeal. I always give him a yogurt/juice smoothie and hide "secret
ingredient" in it. (strawberry fish oils ) sometimes fresh fruit.

Snacks: mostly granola bars or dry cereal. He likes bananas and apples
too. sometimes crackers. He LOVES dried fruit.

If he didn't eat the lunch provided at school, I give him a "fruit and
cheese" plate for a snack--usually just sliced apples or pears with some
cubes or slices of different cheeses. He'll eat pb&j, or grilled
turkey&cheese, with fruit on the side (apples, pears, mango, papaya, melon,
banana)

Dinner: PASTA is his favorite by far, He likes it when I just toss it with
oliveoil, cheese, and some spices. He'll eat it with chicken too.

Chicken sausage, chicken nuggets, any kind of chicken But I have
gotten him to actually eat some fish sticks, breaded fish fillets, and
crabcakes! (as long as they are breaded and crispy) He likes ham, too

He only eats veggies raw and crunchy-jicima, carrotts, red bell pepper
slices...I just put them in a bowl for him. he likes pizza and lasangna too

his favorite meal by a long shot is when I make "breakfast" for dinner.
Usually chicken/apple sausage, pumpkin or banana pancakes, and fruit.

He is VERY picky about sauces, textures, and "specks". And doesn't like
his different foods to touch each other.

It sounds like he eats alot, but that is pretty much his entire diet right
there.MamaKat39383.8623726852Here is Abby's:

Jess is VERY picky.

B'fast is usually muffins & veggie sausages with light syrup (and that's it!) No eggs, waffles, pancakes, toast, etc.....

Lunch and dinner are usually some kind of veggie burger/or chicken nuggets with a side of canned veggies like corn or peas.  Sometimes applesauce.  She LOVES broccoli!  The girl won't touch fruit with a ten foot pole but she'll eat 2 heads of broccoli in one sitting.

The only real meat she'll eat are the chicken nuggets or sometimes meatballs/meatloaf.  I'm a vegetarian so it doesn't bother me too much - luckily she likes a lot of soy/veggie stuff to get her protein.

And like her mom, she sure gets her share of sweets in!

Also, he is an avid chocolate addict.

I read a book over the summer called, Just Take A Bite.  gret book about telling you wht kind of level of pickey eater your child is, however after 200 pages, they only suggest that you present food to your child over an over (like 20-30 times!) and allowing them to select it from the platter it is presented on.

My son's teacher has pulled every resource on the matter, and neither of us has found an effective published solution on how to have immediate results and get the food into their mouths/bodies. Hopefully, that Deceptively Delicious book from Jessica Seinfeld works, I just bought and have yet to attempt it.
