I think for some it is a window for communication...Sarah was spelling words before she could talk...it is amazing how the brain works and to have something to foster communication without verbal speech is a miracle.

Dr. Gupta, who wrote and did a video profile of gtto on CNN earlier this year, did an article last week on Facilitated Communication (where a person helps the person with autism type). Gtto was mentioned in the article under her real name, and also wrote a comment in the comments section which was MUCH MUCH more interesting and informative than what Dr. Gupta wrote.
