Little Tykes used to sell an awesome toy for spinning called the whirlyrocket. Unfortunately, I don't think that they make it any more. The boys got it for their 2nd birthday and loved it. However, they are a bit too big for it now and never use it any more. I believe max weight is 100 lbs and they are around 50 lbs each. The ride can be used easily by one child, or two working together.

Anyway, I would be happy to pass this on to someone else who might benefit. It is unwieldy to ship though. If any of you are in the Chicagoland area and willing to drive to the North/Northwest suburbs (about 25 - 30 miles from downtown) to pick it up, I would be happy to give it to you free of charge. PM me if you are interested.
Kristy - Too funny. We had one of these also for the twins. They both reallyIf noone on this board takes it I'll donate it to our all church garage sale in September. I figure since it has therapeautic value and it is now hard to find since it isn't made anymore, I'd see if anyone here wants it.
My kids used to like to alternate on it. One would sit in the seat and the other would stand there and push the rider so it went really fast!
How cool! If I lived nearby, I would definitely take you up on the offer. Ds recently got a sit n' spin for his birthday, but it's a little too small for him. It's oval shaped instead of round, and not as big as older models.
Kristy - That is SO nice of you! I wish my ds was younger! My parents live close to Chicago and my sister-in-law lives in a NW suburb. But, my ds is too old for that.
Anyway, if no one takes it - I would suggest posting it on craigslist.org with a picture or selling it on eBay. You can do pick-up only. You won't get as much for it, however. One person sold theirs for over .00 and charged over 0.00 for shipping and handling! If you go to some place that packs things - I bet you could get it packed for less than .00 - they will often give you an estimate as well. I'm talking about places like UPS or other places that mail out packages.
I'm just thinking that with twin boys with one having special needs - well, I know I can certainly use the extra money with 2 kids! I would include "autism" and "sensory" in the posting. Those are key words that often are searched for by parents of kids with autism. You can specify in your sale that you do not HAVE to have those issues in order to use the toy - but that it is a great one for kids with these issues as well.
Just some thoughts!
