My speech therapist (and OT) gave us a couple- free. Six months ago--he was gagging himself with them and throwing up! (yuck) we moved to baby teething rings and chewy fishes.
PS- what is really weird to me btw- is that Harris STOPPED using/being interested in a binky around 8 or 9 months- with no intervention by us....but then a few months later wanted to MOUTH EVERYTHING... ???!!
Well you could just get one (theyre only a few dollars on ebay) and then try to give him that instead of his pacifier. I had no idea my son would like it so much but he did the first time I gave it to him. I think it gives them the oral stimulation that theyre looking for. Id say just give it a try and see what happens! :)

I found scented grabbers at beyond play. My son really seems to like them esp the grape and the chocolate ones. I am so glad they make these kinds of things. It would have been impossible to get rid of the pacifer without them.I would love to have my son interested in the chewy tube but he loves his binky. Any ideas on how to get him to take the chewy tubes instead of his binky?Hi all. I posted this on another thread but I just thought Id do a separate post also for those of you whose kids always have to have something in their mouths, like mine.. I think this is a good alternative to a pacifier..
My son likes the green textured one.. You can find them on ebay too. :)
