Here's another site for make-your-own worksheets, for example with your child's name -- or Thomas, Percy, Diesel 10....

Office depot has these great books by Mead, they look like writing tablets but some have the raised lines for a guideline and others have grooves (like stencils) for you to learn to write lettersBarnes and Noble has a nice educational aisle with workbooks.   I've bought them there, but my son isn't into them. He uses them at school and OT sometimes, so he's probably sick of it:) I leave them out for him anyway.  I have found tons of those books at the dollar stores.  My kids go through alot of them.

wipe off books are great.  My son loves them!

I recently saw write on/wipe off books at Staples.  And, I have a great website saved on "my favorites" on my work computer.  I'll look it up Monday and post it for you.  On this site you can print up whatever words you want in dots (i.e. your child's name).  It has other cool stuff too.  Darn, my old brain, I just can't remember it!mamajot39178.735150463There is a website that you can print these pages from for free.  www.dotolearn.com  Under activities there are ones for Letter and Numbers.

Other than that you could try activity books from the bookstore or a Teacher supply shop if there is one near you.
hello does anybody know where can i buy books that having letters ready to trace ? like they teach in school to connect the dots to form their name etc... ? im looking for an easier way instead of my doing dots all the time ,hehe thanks!I would REALLY suggest doing the Handwriting Without Tears workbooks. They have been AMAZING for my son. There is a whole program that goes with it also which he does at OT and school, but even just doing the workbooks I think would help. His letters look amazing now! I will try to scan some in today & post them. The workbooks aren't very much money.

Here's a link to a related topic on this forum.  Various pencil grips, handwriting-readiness activities, and programs are included there.  Handwriting without tears was recommended by other parents there too.

This is a programme that I found excellent when my son was first learning to spell. He loved it, its free.

There are also other free downloads but this was his favourite

Thanks, mamajot!  That link is much better than mine.  You can choose 3 different fonts, upper or lower case, plus a small picture on the bottom for visual interest.  Here's a direct link to the tracer pages:

On another part of the site, you can make writing paper without letters to trace.  You can choose a decoration (for example Blues Clues) plus what kinds of lines you want -- including the large rule with top, bottom and middle lines for kids just beginning to write.  Here's the direct link to that part of the site:

Thanks again.

Norway - it is a cool site, isn't it?  We use a few things from that site for Anthony's ABA therapy.

Like some of the others have said, I have seen these, both books and wipe-offs, at Dollar Tree dollar stores.bumpjust what a was looking for mama, thanks a LOT!!![QUOTE=NorwayMom]

norway, how i get thomas or percy?

You can type in any word or words, including train names, on either of mymoondrop or kidzone, and the website will create a tracing worksheet for that word(s).  The kidzone website has some pictures to spice things up, but no trains, I'm afraid.
