Well, ds hasn't been dx'd yet so my experience might mean beans lol. But my labor was a cinch. He was 8lbs 9oz healthy and strong. I laughed during most of the labor because the dr kept tickling my feet by accident. He came out w/ no probs and I felt great afterwards...like I could go dancing. Honestly though both of my births went really well but his was the easiest. So if ds IS dx'd then the difficult birth thing might not be a part of it. Although nothing is the same for everyone anyway. I mean some people have seen issues w/ their children start after vaccines. Some saw it from birth. So maybe there are several factors that can lead up to autism who knows. The part that stumps me the most is that it occurs in boys 4 times more than girls so what's that about?

ok birth one was terrible .as i didnt develop waters spent pregnancy in hosp on back whilst constant hemoraging etc (yes with all the blood loss i did look a little pasty lol) .at 29 wks they lost heart beat etc. i then had emergency c-section it took 30 0dd mins to resusitate him etc. although it was really bad i am greatfull that he beat the odds. as he the first baby the docs knew to survive with no waters . something to do with the position he was in and peeing in his mouth so it kept going round keeping kidneys going etc . he wouldnt be hear if he was a girl so yay for the boys
birth 2 i went over due so was induced at 40 wks and as my midwife didnt belive i was as far dilated as i was i gave birth to most of him on the loo. so never ever pee is all i can say lol OH...LOL that's funny I'll have to warn my daughter...Funny she was 9lbs 8oz at birth so it may not even make a difference....LOL She also had a big head. Karrie I have never had complications that dealt with the babies. I hemorrage after every delivery though. With each of my labors they all lasted right at about 12 hours. I'm really hoping this time with it being my fourth that it will be at least a little quicker. I can only hope though..LOL Karrie We hope Karrie it goes quickly for you. Saw a video at cnn today where a woman in Wisconsin gave birth to a 14 pound baby girl.
Tammy Hey that's not funny TAMMY!!! I've told you i have big babies!! Don't you dare wish something THAT BIG on me!!! LMAO Karrie Oh don't you just hate that shakes? I know both of my sisters had at least 24 hours with their kids. One sister was in labor for over 24 hours then they decide to do the c section. Of course she did have one kid in the backseat of her car outside of the emergency room doors.
Tammy YIKES...in the backseat! That would scare me a bit LOL... (ahhhh....men and food, you get the ice chips they eat the burgers...how is that fair LOL) I had back labor too, not fun! I was in labor for 8 hours, they sent me home cuz I wasn't dialated enough then I called them once we got home and I was keelled over screaming my head off with contractions....the doc heard how bad I was...(screaming JESUS, MARY, JOSEPH...HELP ME!!! lol on my hands and knees on my kitchen floor ahhh!) and said get back here LOL...once I finally got the epidoral all was fine in my world, but before that it was horror! They slowwed the ep. so I could push and found out he was posterior and that's why such pain I guess, he's my first so I have nothing to compare it too LOL...but once the head was out they made me stop pushing because the cord was around his neck and the doc had to cut the cord, it was the worse thing in the world for them to tell me not to push anymore and see my husband who had been so cheerful and helped the whole time, turn white as a ghost ...and then not to hear him cry when they pulled him out right away...after a minute or two....seem like forever...he cried and scored a 9 instead of a 7...they told me next time to come right away the first tinge I feel cuz you're suppose to have a hardere time w/ posterior births I guess and he came out rather quick...1/2 or pushing once my water broke...okay is that tmi...sorry I was just reliving it all LOL...good luck to all those mom's to be again...they say each birth is different...so maybe they'll all come out quick and painless...right? (we can hope LOL) hugs! ali both my son's births were complicated, I was the sickest with my oldest as we were able to safely deliver my youngest before I got really bad, but the first time around I had to hold out for 13 weeks. Both of mine were normal. And Gabe was born at home. Tammy I had a doctor tell me one time that if you are having contractions, you are not suppose to have a bowel movement. And I didn't ask for any more details. Tammy Alex was a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. I was huge. He was 10 lbs 3 oz with a head the size of a grown up (ha ha). Before we understood his diganosis, my husband had the theory that he was just angry for being removed early and never got over it. I had 18 hours of labor, 2 pushing and an emergency c-section with my daughter. She was 9 lbs 7 oz also with a head the size of a grown up. It was so big, she couldn't fit in the birth canal. I was a physical wreck for 4 days. This is why we scheduled Alex. I am no petite thing. I thought my big Polish-German birthing hips would make labor a breeze. Kids always take your expectations and turn them completely around. She is just fine now. Big heads are common on my husbands side, and he has one too. Warn your daughters to not fall in love with a big headed man lol!
I had the misfortune of throwing up in some embarassing
places. I licked some stamps at the post office
when sending off the xmas cards......I had to bolt out of the post
office and wouldn't you know .....throw up in the street right in front
of the building at noon!
oops.....
Good luck with your delivery! I hope it is not a whopper!
