Anyone heard of this school?

Hi Ruth.. your right it is in Jacksonville. We are going to look at the school I live in Jacksonville. It is VERY expensive. I am just so tired of the public schools here

(((((((( RyanMom )))))  I know how hard it is to keep a good rapport with the school district, but it is a must!  I am not saying just shake your head and agree to everything they say....faaaaaaaaar from it!!!  You hafta keep them on their toes...let them KNOW that you KNOW the spec. ed law!!!  Once they KNOW that you KNOW, you should be well established and they will be more apt to "listen" to you.  Is it easy??  No..Hell No!!, but it's a must!!!  Stay on them..always let them know that YOU are there.  You see, I really could care less if I am considered one of those "naggy" Mommy's...Pffffff why should that bother me?! I am there to make sure he is getting an "appropriate" education..if not, then FIGHT I will...even if it means some ppl rolling their eye-balls "thinking" oh no...not her, again.  I sure hope you can establish this rapport with the school, and soon as it really does help.

Kelly, I know of a Jericho school in Jacksonville, but not in St. Augustine.  We went and visited the school in Jacksonville and to be honest if it were in another neighborhood we would have done our best to move there and have Matthew attend.  The teachers were great and very well informed with extensive background in ABA.

As I said though the neighborhood and even the building they were in was very run down and not the nicest of areas (and that is putting it mildly).  For such a high tuition (part-time was $21,000) I expected a new building in the best neighborhood.

It is called the Jericho school in St. Augustine florida.

Thanks Screech..I have a IEP coming up next month.

Where have you been?....I haven't seen you on the board in awhile!

How is your son doing?
