Autism Center my son was diagnosed by the center for autistic children in philly, don't even know if it is still around yet. know they had a school. he also got therapy through shriners hosp for children. think you need a physical disability to go along with the autism, may be wrong saw a lot of kids getting ot that looked autistic, my son got speech and play therapy there. Does anyone use the autism center at CHOP? My daughter is 5, I tried getting an appointment with developmental peds there and they said they would not see her, since she was older than 3. I would love to hear, if anyone has good recommendations for doctors in the Philadlephia area (developmental peds, neurology peds). And any centers that provide additional thearpies, beyond school for special needs kids.
