PCA/ABA work in Minnesota

Hi MLehnert.. Welcome to the board. I dont live in Minnesota so I cant really tell you what companies to check with but might I suggest contacting your mental health facilities, neurology departments, and department of family Services as places to ask about doing this type of work as well as the area mental retarded and developmentally disabled schools. Im sure they would know who to contact for this type of work to become a part of an angency. Also you could post ads in the newspaper, or in the schools, mental health facilities, and clinics as long as it was acceptable to do so by their standards. Good Luck

Contact St. David's in Minnetonka.  Here is their link

I know they are always looking for pca's.  And they do provide the training.

Best of luck.

Tammy

I have been working with a very special little boy who will be starting
school in the Fall. As my PCAing is drawing to a close I would like to take
the skills I have earned and apply them towards another child who needs
my help. Any ideas where I can find a company who might refer me, or
have similar job postings? I have tried the U of M, to little avail. Let me
know if you have any suggestions -- I am not trained in the field but have
an autistic child so I am very experienced even without any formal
training. Thanks!
