Autism WalkThis sunday is the annual autism walk in Milwaukee. It will be the 4th year that we are going. It was started by parents of an autistic boy with American Indian heritage. His uncle runs the annual Indian Summer Festival in our city. (we are the city of festivals). It starts and ends at the festival grounds. Adam walks kind of slow so I stay with him while my other kids and husband basically jog to the end and wait. My youngest NT son walked the whole 5K when he was 4 and was so excited because people were giving him high fives at the finish line. It is also good to see so many people supporting the cause. Check out the website. Hi, We did the walk in massachusetts for Walk Now .org and it was so much fun. We raised a thousand dollars. My son had a blast walking and using the moonwalks they had at the end of the walk. I can't wait to do it again next year! I would post a pic of walk but Mommy forgot to change tha batteries in her camera before showing up! My son age 4 is PDD NOS and he has a 14 month old sister who seems NT so far.
