My son did 3 days of oral chelation and then a urine test on that 3rd day. What would or should the test show? Should the urine metals be high or low and what does it mean? If your son is excreting metals you would get a high metal count in hair/urnine/stool tests. If he is not excreting the metals you would get a low count. I assume you got a test done before starting chelation, if the chelation is working properly his urine test now should show a higher amount of metals being excreted than before you started. I hope this makes sense. It took several rounds of chelation and more glutathione for my son to start excreeting. He is now excreeting in the red with mercury and almost in the red with lead.Hello everyone, I am new to all of this how do I get the test done to determine the toxin levels in my sons body? Is it through a specialist? Can someone help me with this information, I would appreciate it very much. By the way very adorable children you all have Bren
It took several rounds of chelation and more glutathione for my son to start excreeting. Generally, it will start pulling the lighter metals such as aluminum, tungsten, etc. Over time as the lighter metals are extreted, it will start pulling the heavier metals. It is not something that happens immediately. As sashasmom stated, her ds's doc used other things to help improve his methylation process in conjunction with the chelating agent. Something to remember is that the several months of supplements, glutathione, mb-12 injections and related treatments are to improve your child's gut and methylation system. If you don't, the chelating agent may not be effective in doing its job and other problems may develop. As the DAN 2005 consensus paper stated, not correcting the gut, methylation process, etc would be like trying to dump water out of a leaking ship. So the DAN doc does the urine/ fecal tests and blood work to determine if there are other ways to improve the way the body excretes the metals. They may add another supplement or increase the frequency of the mb-12 injection. It all depends on your child. By the way very adorable children you all have Bren
Bren, many of us go through DAN doctors (Defeat Autism Now). you can visit www.generationrescue.org and click on "Find a Rescue Angel" on the right side of the page. That will provide you a list of parents worldwide who are doing the biomed treatments with their children. You can find one closest to you who can give you the info need and what is available locally. Here is the Autism Research Institute. If you click "DAN" they will have a list of practioners worldwide. The only problem is that each DAN is different in their approach to the biomed treatments. They also vary in price and bedside manners. I strongly urge you to go find a rescue angel and join some yahoo groups and inquire about a particular doctor (chelatingkids2, asd_solutions). http://www.autismwebsite.com/ari/index.htm Also, read the consensus paper - http://www.autismwebsite.com/ari/vaccine/mercurydetox.htm http://www.tacanow.com/medical.htm This site can provide you with some background info as well. Hope that helps. Thank you so much for all the information you gave me. I will definatley look into this, I'm sure they are better listeners than the pediatrics and neurologists. thanks again! Brenda Jenni... I applaud you! We worked on the gut issues and are doing many supplements including the reduced glutathione and are now into about our 6th or 7th round of DMSA. In fact I am doing the toxic metal challenge this Sunday. Holli... Our first test results were compared to an original test taken prior to starting chelation. It showed staggering levels of metals and the second showed the tin in Lauren's body had significantly dropped. We're now onto working out the lead and then the mercury. I know we've got a long road ahead of us as well. Some things I've also read that *may* help are epsom salt baths and other natural chelators like cilantro. We do the baths but haven't done anything with the cilantro yet. I have more research to do. If you have any questions, definitely don't hesitate to ask your DAN! doctor. I've found ours to be the most compassionate and willing to talk out of all our doctors. Goodluck! I am trying to find glutathione and chelation. I have found glutathione online however would like to get some today...What is the dose for children? I have a 4 year old ......I just found out about this and hope it's not too late to try...I read a story on a actress on the 2020 abc website...she was on a high protein diet and ate fish 4x a week and had high levels of mercury...her treatment was the chelation and the glutathione...I also read that epson salt baths are good...on another site...any truth to that? I am going to have my daughter taken in to her Doc to get a read on her levels b4 we give her anything...However I don't trust Doc's 100% no one has ever suggested to check for Mercury and due to the increase in Autistic children you would think they would make that a routein check up.... |
