New Booster Seat....

I just thought I'd let you guys know about our new car seat b/c some of you may be in the same position....

Most convertible car seats / booster seats only have 5 point harnesses rated up to 40 lbs.  While Ansley is not that big yet, her evenflo triumphy car seat was getting a little tight for her, so we needed to move up to a booster.  But when I found out about the 40 lb limit for harnesses, I was discouraged b/c I'm sure Ansley will not be capable of using the "big" seat belt feature for quite a while, even though most kids are ready for that when they're that size.  Then I found this new booster car seat called the Alpha Elite Apex Booster by Cosco.  It's got a 5 point harness that is rated up to 65 lbs. before you have to switch to the seat belt function.  (Hannah's only 53 lbs and she's 8, so I think we'll be able to use it for quite a while with Ansley!)  It also has an adjustable head piece that can grow with them so you can use it with bigger toddlers / children.  It's really wide and roomy, too - I can even sit in it!

We went ahead and bought it b/c my dh can now use the old one in his SUV so we don't have to switch out cars when we have to pick up Ansley.  We took a ride last night and she seems to like it - didn't fuss or anything at the change, so I guess it's a keeper!

Thanks Amy...I was just thinking Neel is going to outgrow his Roundabout soon. I'll need to get a new carseat for DH's car. I have a Marathon in my car so I should be set for a little while longer!
