SSI PASS PlanAlot of kids get it when they are younger. It is based on income of the entire household. And I was never turned down in my first time trying. I think it just depends upon the documentation you have to support the child's dx. But the PASS program is intended for older kids that receive ssi or ssdi. But as some of those links show, you need to have a very detailed, concise plan. Tammy We were denied based on income which is what we are told is what counts mostly. All govt. help is that way.Yeah Screech what Tammy said LOL... Zach is on SSI and He's only 3.4. We get like 500 bucks a month for him on top of the medical assistance.(with no HMO i might add). It really is very dependant on the documentation that they recieve regarding your child. With Zach even though I knew they would get in touch with his Dr.'s and such to get the documentation of medical records, I still sent them all the copies of the evals and such that I had. It does depend on the familys finances though also. Note: This is for kids that are older that receive ssi or ssdi!! Generally before you can use this program the recipient needs to be 15. http://www.apla.org/programs/workservices/pass.html http://print.disabilitybenefits101.org/ca/programs/income_su pport/pass/program.htm http://www.cpconnection.com/SSI/SSAInfo2.htm http://www.workinc.org/passwrks.htm http://diversity.monster.com/wwd/articles/passprog/ http://www.workworld.org/wwwebhelp/pass.htm _________ Tammy Jenna was approved at age two with in 30 days. However, because my husband receives BAH(housing allowance and is not considered earned income.) she was turned down for being over income. i don 't understand how a child has an incomeMy son was approved at age 3, but due to his income he wasn't eligible for actual payments. Didn't know my son had a job...... Thanks for nothing. |
