gfcfso many things/cookbooks are gluten free.....do alot of people just do gluten free?? do people say there are benefits to just eliminating gluten? There's a growing movement of people with celiac disease, so that may account for some of it. It is a fairly common allergy/sensitivity though, so maybe just growing awareness of that is leading to more cookbooks. I can't convince my doc to test, but I'm headed towards GF to try and help my asthma and fibromyalgia. Of course, there's always a diet of the week - ten years ago everyone was talking about Atkins and all you could find at the bookstore were low carb cookbooks. GF definitely helps with a lot of things, but I imagine the publishers will move on to the next diet of the week sometime soon. |
