Progress report with no grades? Opinions!My sons progress reports that he gets every week from his resource teacher have not been having alot of the grades on there for the week. My son has been missing quite a bit of school due to many doctor apps and testing and he did recently get a stomach virus that also added to his recent absences a couple of days. His last report card only had his grades for math book, math minutes, editing grade to date and spelling average grade which all were not great grades at all except for math book, he got a 95. There are 8 missing grades that are blank. He did miss 1 day of school that week. Can that cause him to be missing so many grades on his progress report like that? Under comments and behaviors section she wrote to please study spelling words and few grades due to excessive abscenses! He was absence 1 day! And its a progress report for 1 week! I dont understand. I suppose i should be calling her up instead of asking you all but thought id get your opinion. Also im alittle irritated thinking that they may be putting the excessive absences thing on us to blame for his failing grades. He has alot more going on i dont see how they can do this and they were supportive with us getting him tested by his neuro but still i guess it was teh wording and I called an IEP meeting to review his IEP and find a way to get him to learn better. Im so used to his last school blaming everythign on me that i am getting defensive probably, but what do u think? I have not on his last 2 progress reports gotten his grade equivalent for any of his language arts and comprehension subjects since i have seen a new area for this in the last 2. Im wondering if theydont want to put it down, and then again yes he has been absent alot 2 but weve made up work. Anyway what do u thinK?
