Formal Diagnoses tomorrow 2/2 Hello Everyone, My son just turned 3 this past January and has been through alot in his short yrs. He was born @ 32wks gestation and has had very few medical issues. But I knew something was wrong when he was just 8-10 months old. He was very attached to me, I could even go to bathroom without him,he hardly babbled, he cried constantly and was such a bad sleeper until he was 2yrs old. So when he was alittle over 2 yrs old he was refered EI. He improved tremendously with therapy but still limited speech. Then he was referred to program that specificly worked with ASD children and there he got his informal DX. They tell me informal because they cannot make medical DX but they can make it by their evaluation. So he receive aba therapy and some speech with their program along with EI several times a week. With the informal diaganoses and several evaluations he has gotten into early childhood education program by BPS and will start later this month. I just want to know what to expect from this evaluation and what questions to ask. I know it seems  he is on the right track but I want to know IS he on the spectrum or IS he just developmentally delayed to due to his premature birth. Any input would be greatly be appreciated. I'm always big on finding out from local drs and therapist where the local support groups / organizations are.  From there you can find out most of the upcoming questions you may have through parents / groups that you can actual relate to.
