Oh I just want to scream!!

Do you have a DAN dr. or a pediatrician who will write a note to the school that your child is allergic to gluten, casein and soy.  Once they get that, I can guarantee the teachers will be more careful about what foods he is exposed too.My son is on the gfcf diet also soy free. We shortened his day because of huge problems with him helping himself to non allowed food off other kids trays.
So the school agreed to let him come after breakfast and leave before lunch. Well yesteday he got a cracker and today got a hold of a roll from the tray hi teacher brought back to the room to eat.

So in 4 hours he went from calm and happy, obeying my requests about 85% of the time to scouring the house trying to find more gluten, screaming at me, climbing the table and pulling down the blinds, unlocking the loor and running out of the house 14 times.

Argh!!!!
There is a Dr note in his file. I don't have a video camera but thanks for the idea. My regular camera does take short video clips.

I know he is the quickest kid Ive ever seen lol but still its so frustrating.
I second Julie's suggestion, and if you have a video camera, you should take some video of his reaction.  Show it to them - maybe it will help them understand that the diet has to be taken seriously.Sevenup , I know this probably sounds horrible of me , Ive already sent an e-mail stating just how badly he was acting this afternoon but I hope he goes to school tomorrow and shows them.

Right now they see  the shorter school schedule as the factor that improved his behavior . I don't doubt it was a factor. 8 hours a day at school was just way to long for him.. I mean think of expecting an 18 month old to do schoolwork for 8 hours a day :)

But to me getting him to stay on the diet for a longer period (he was at home with me on break for a bit ) was the main factor in his improved behavior . Shorter days or not it won't continue unless he stays on the diet.

So maybe they will become better at not letting their guard down for even a second or maybe dh will stop worrying about my health issues so much and let me just homeschool all of them and take him to private speech therapy. :)

((((Nicole))))  I'm really sorry your sons having to go through that.. and you too!
