Questions??

Has your primary care Dr. referred you?  Often their wait times are less from a Dr. to Dr. referral than from a person calling to schedule their own Apt.  What area of Texas are you in? Yup it was a referral from her pediatrician. We are in central tx, killeen
area. We are military so everything has to go through tricare. I'm going to
make some calls tomorrow up north to Dartmouth NH and see if they can
help us, and I'm always up to visiting our family. Its just so hard to believe all
these little kids having to wait so long to see a doctor

The current waiting list for an inital appointment with one of our areas best developmental pediatricians is currently 18 months!!

There is definitely a shortage.

My daughter is going to be 2 in feb. I've been trying to get her seen with a
development ped, however in my 4 hr+ area its an 8-12 month wait. Is that
the norm for most areas. I'm in TX right now and I was thinking of traveling
up north to NH/MASS. I have family up there that i can stay with. Are the
wait times up there the same.
