	2nd IEP Meeting Who schedules the 2nd IEP meeting? We had his 1st meeting last December right before he turned 3 since school was closing for xmas vacation and his 3rd bday was on xmas.  I know they have a new meeting every year, but do I need to be the one to schedule it? Or should they be contacting me? Also, I sent an email on 10/26 to schedule a meeting with the Autism Consultant and I still have not heard from her (I have sent to additional notes to his classroom teacher and still nothing).  How often should I request the meeting (every day, other day?) I am getting a bit frustrated with his teacher too.  Some days there are no notes in his school communication book and then there are days when they tell me nothing is working and he has been very aggressive with the kids, but the previous day there were no notes????? His behavior is fine at home so should I be letting them figure out what to do with him at school? If you mean the annual review, they schedule around the same time each year, so that would be around x-mas As for the consultant, can you call?  What meeting are you asking about, the annual review? If so, like I said, they will always have it around the same time each year. As for help w/ comm. notbook, no real ideas.  If she is not writing often, asking her to do so will not work I believe that they are suppose to contact you.  But it would not hurt to remind them.  The annual review is supposed to cover progress on goals and set up new goals so it is probably not in your interest to have it be forgotten.  Possibly with a Christmas Birthday things are being forgotten.
