meeting

I'm going to a meeting at my childs school with the team that works with my child she is in K. I requested evals to be done like a full eval in all areas of delay and an FBA and sensory eval. Is there anything specific i should ask for, tests for instance? I want them to evaluate her in all areas including social, adaptive, cognitive though i think they did an IQ test on my child before the transition to K. Or do i just ask them to evaluate in all areas of delay and they will just perform the tests? I signed the form already for them to evalute. I want to see how much progress my child is really making, the last eval was 3 years ago. You can ask which evals they are planning on using. IQ testing might not yet be too accurate (too young) but it would be best that one is used that is not language based (since that is considered testing into the disability) and one that has a number of subtests so that it would shows the scatter that is typical for many kids on the spectrum. Really which tests are appropriate depends a bit on your dd's profile but I would just ask them what they are planning to use to evalute, look the evals up and decide if you feel that this will give an aapropriate and global picture of your dd or if you want to ask for additional tests.I'll second the caution about IQ testing at such an early age.  There are much more useful instruments designed to measure language development (including sub-skills to pin point where development is regular and where it is delayed), social interaction, etc.  The "intelligence" that IQ tests try to isolate is by definition quite abstract -- not meaningless, but abstract.
