Home schoolersHmm... its not so much a "learning how" as a "doing" kind of thing. There are all kinds of books and websites you can read about methods. There isn't a one-size fits all approach. Each kiddo is different in how they learn best (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, blended). It might help you to find out what sort of learner you have (google "learning style" and you'll find all sorts of info) and start targeting your instruction that way. If you feel you need a step-by-step sort of curriculum, that kind of content is out there (check your library and the web for free stuff or purchase through a homeschool coop or bookstore). We use step-by-step only for mathematics (Saxxon Homeschool - comes with teacher/meeting guide and step-by-step methods for teaching). Feel free to PM me. |
