B-12 shots

My son is 41/2 half years old . He is not talking yet . We have started giving him B-12 shots last week but haven't seen any improvement in talking yet .

Any idea , after how many shots kids start to talk.

What is your dosage, how often do you give it to him?  Did you notice better eye contact?

Originally we've seen huge improvements in eye contact and repeating words, then that was it, its been a year, last year I thought my son would pull out of it by now, yet I feel we're back to what we were a year ago, although he made progress I don't feel like we're making enough progress.

Recently I started worrying a lot, sometimes I think, he'll be stuck with it forever.  I've made a video showing him at 1.5 years old where he's talking asking questions, prompting before he regressed.

I think alot of people misunderstand the purpose of giving methyl B-12.  It is intended to increase methylation and boost production of cysteine, which in turn boosts glutathione production of the body.  Glutathione is the body's main detoxifier, and most of our kids are sorely lacking in it.  By giving MB12 injections, your are starting the long process of trying to correct imbalances in the body.  If you happen to get words, or increased eye contact or better focus, that's great...you got a bonus!  I've never had one doctor tell me or anyone I know that if they give their kids MB12 they'll start talking.  That's just not the purpose of the shot.

That said, you probably need to give it longer than a week before you judge the effectiveness of the intervention.  Take detailed notes of how your child is now, and sit down and evaluate at the two month or three month mark.

Just one more thing.... did your doctor test your child's cysteine levels before he/she prescribed MB12 injections?

One of the big issues many start to progress and then
plateau is not supplementing MB12 properly or using TMG
with MB12.
One of the big issues many start to progress and then

Thanks you for the reply.
Has anyone experienced an increase in agitation or hyper
activity while using B12? I have been using it for almost a
year now and it has been amazing though at times my son can
seem so wound up after a dose. Any suggestions on how to
relieve this wound up rubber band?
Is he getting sufficient amounts of folinic acid with it?

relieve this wound up rubber band?I can't give my son this without hurting him SO badly.  Even when I numb the area.  I dunno what to do :( B12 does not create agitation as such. It makes the body more balanced, makes metabolism better, and soothes the temper too in some cases.
