Supplement Suggestion for PDDNOSHi everyone, my son PDDNOS is a 4 yr old non verbal little guy. I have a appt with our developmental ped on 11/30 for a annual visit. Hes in school and gets speech therapy 4 days a week and OT 3 days a week, lately his behavior is not the same, hes getting aggitated and hes constantly holding his ears, hes always been a ear holder, but its more intense now. I dont know if something happened in school to change him but in the last week hes completely different, gets mad easily balances stuff constantly, things he didnt do as often before hes doing now. Please suggest a supplement, I was told to try Omega 3 and fish oil, but dont have any brand names and any suggestions as far as results go. Please let me know if you had sucess. Thanks For omega 3, we use Coromega. It actually tastes good, and it's water soluble, so it mixes into juices well. We use Kirkman's for cod liver oil, but there are a bunch of others out there that I'm told taste a lot better. My kiddo is weird - he likes his oil! For auditory sensitivity, which may account for your DS holding his ears, two things have been huge for us: magnesium (from Brainchild Nutritionals), and theraputic listening. Between the two, his problems with sound are almost gone, and it was a huge problem for DS at first. |
