West Chester area, PA?We are looking to more outside of Philly in the summer. Is anyone happy with the school services they receive? ThanksYou'll be in chester county and chester county has top notch services when it comes to special needs especially their Intermediate Unit. I have never had problems. We live in Pottstown but in the OJR school district, up further from West Chester.
You'll be in chester county and chester county has top notch services when it comes to special needs especially their Intermediate Unit.
Are your children mainstreamed? one thing we are really looking for is a district that is open to mainstreaming w/ help of a para. Here in florida since our son has been 5yr they just want to keep him in a segregated ASD class. Our son does not have severe autism. They continue to fight us on this. I looked up your school district and saw the have a parent support group. That is AWESOME. We have nothing like that here. I can't wait to get outta Florida..... 7 more months!! We are going up to PA in Jan. to look at a couple area outside Philly and hopfully narrow it down to where we will be moving in June when school is out. Any idea of what rents are for a 2-3 bedroom place in a nice area? We are looking to rent for a year before we buy.
Thanks!!! We pay $805 a month for our 2 bedroom. I'm not sure how the rent is in West Chester, it could be higher as there are some apartments up here with higher rent too. Was it hard to get your daughter inclusion? Here in my county they don't like to do that unless your child is high functioning and won't need a para with them all day.no it wasn't hard at all. Right now we are only limiting the amount of time she is over there and then they are slowly increasing the amount of time to see what her limit is. Right now she is doing good which was soo nice to hear from the inclusion teacher. I can't wait til we do another current IEP. She has her TSS with her at all times at school except for when the TSS goes on break then the assistant teachers are there to take over. |
