Belt test. How is that for you?!That's awesome you did so well. I know you were worried...Congrats! You master doesn't sound like a very good one. HE should be encouraging all of his students to reach their fullest potential. Telling a student something like what he told you could cause kids to quit :( I felt like quitting but just devoted myself to proving him wrong because I knew I could do that. O and he said I would get past purple. It was a rocky journey but I have made it.Congrats on a great test! I took tae kwon do for years as a child and remember being so nervous every time we tested. Sounds like you're doing a great job handling it! Awesome! Congratulations! I am sorry your instructor is not encouraging you. Some people are idiots. Congratulations on a job well done!Harriet WOW...A black belt! Thanks everyone. My pap worked with him and that is just his personality. I have also found myself feeling stronger whether I have been or if it is mentally but I feel more power and can feel a change. One of the side benefits of learning and practicing a martial art is the confidence in yourself that magically appears as a student. Hard work does bring results. As long as you want to keep doing this, you have to be prepared to sometimes face adversity, and how you handle that adversity is indicative of how deserving of the next achievement. I think that the Master has an opinion of you based on I don't know what, but you can, and probably did, change that preconceived opinion by your continued success. I am proud of you. Your great work gives me hope that my little boy can do great things as well. Great Job Lyssa! |
