For those whose kiddos are up at night...You all probably know this but I just bought a hand-held video monitor. It is a life saver. I can watch what is going on in DS's room and still stay in bed. Cuts down on my checking in on him a lot.I got one for about $150 at amazon. Mine are 4 and 10. We just use a standard audio monitor. But, we've added all kinds of locks to the front and back door and gated off the kitchen. This means they just roam the house. Usually we hear them without problem. I have a friend who uses a web cam to monitor his children at night We use a web cam as well It's cheap and it works
We use a video monitor too and it has helped tremendously! We use it in conjunction with the Nickel Bed Tent that was designed by my wife. The bed tent has helped many parents of children with autism. You can get more information on the bed tent by visiting her web site at www.myreadysetbloom.com. The bed tent helps keep children safe and comfortable in bed. A twin-sized mattress just slides inside, with 3 points of access and has covered poles for the child’s safety. The bed tent has aided many parents because they are now sleeping better at night. Hope this helps! |
