Pysch charging $45. to fill out paprwork? what i have never heard of being charge to fill out paper work .if your not seeing her yet .that dosnt sound right i say somethingThey can charge a fee for copying - but $50 is out of line. Some docs will charge a fee for filling out paperwork - but it certainly makes you question. I have never had a doc charge for filling out paperwork. Heck, our dev ped wrote a letter to our old school district (on his initiative after oking it with us) berating them for not qualifying my ds for services! And we most certainly did not get charged for that.  When I switched from the idiot psych, he told me that it would be 30.00 to send the new doc a summary. I have no idea why she would want you there though. The paperwork (from what I understand) is her opinions. So, she's asking you to drive there so you can sit and watch her? Does she know you've moved? I would just explain to her that it 's not feasible for you to drive there now for an appointment. Check with your state, some have laws on what a doc can charge for paperwork. Weve seen her before she is my sons psych (tho i am far from thrilled about seeing her she is my only option at the moment unfortunately). I asked the office lady about it and she said thats her standard fee for filling out this type of paperwork. Im wondering the the heck type of paperwork this is then, im told it is standard nothing special or abnormal type of paperwork she has been senti would have said is her papper made out of gold or something .my thrpist has never charge for filling out from from her or me that just sound weirdWow..that's crazy!  My Dev Pedi filled out 18 pages of paperwork for our waiver and wrote a letter to the school....all free.i no sometime they make you feel like your only worth seeing if gthey can get the money first .dose he qulify for ssi lor anything cuse that would help with his medical expencies I went to the app. and didnt even see her but it was her husband or brother (its a family practice). I like him muuuch better and am going to request to just see him. But then he says that she still has to fill out the paperwork anyway cuz she is his doctor but hel make sure she fills it out and it will be faxed tomorrow morning. I got a call from her that evening and she tells me he needs a new psychological evaluation and he has to be in front of her while she fills the paperwork out! I was soooo irritated i mean i was JUST there that morning and now that im at home 2 1/2 hrs away she tells me this blech. Then she changed her mind and said shed ask me questions and just fill it out so then i  happy again lol but sheesh whats up with that?! Then i requested they fax me his last 2 apps records to me and they said they were charging me 60 cents per page. The girl was nice enough to waive the fee for me in the end tho but sheesh, its like its all about  money and not my son, so sad. But at least we got what we needed but still. My son hass an app tomorrow to see his psych. My sons case manager sent his psych paperwork to fill out for treatment and clarifying his dx and stuff like that. She said she cant just fill the paperwork out we have to come in (and we just saw her inteh last few months but she said she needs to see him again) and thats a 50. dollar copy plus the gas it cost us to drive there cuz we live in a totally diff state (gas=65. or so dollars) PLUS shes charging us 45. bucks just to fill out the paperwork! i feel so annoyed! this cant be normal can it? I asked his case worker who seemed confused why she was charging that to simply fill out paperwork but i asked my step mom and she said shes been charged for getting paperwork fille dout before but not no 45 bucks! It feels like highway robbery!sorry so long to respond autti! I know it makes me feel sick Alot of people have been saying i should see if he qualifies but ive heard from a few diff sources that that (ss disability) stays on your record forever and i dont lke the sound of that because im hoping he will be incredibly high functioning as an adult id not want anyone to be able to see his past and discriminate against him about (not supposed to but people do unfortunately) We havnt been getting any outside help since ive moved out of state this summer that screwed us up but were back now so trying to get things situated again ith his case manager.
