I met with our DAN for the first time last week and here is what he suggests to start: GFCF, multivitamin, CLO, Folinic Acid, MB12. He wants us to start everything at once so we "don't waste time" which I understand, but my instinct has been to do one thing at a time to see what works/doesn't work. The girls are 2 1/2 and I know this is prime time for changes. Any thoughts on this? Do GFCF, multivitamin and CLO all at once. The multivitamin is not going to make much of a difference symptom wise and is just something your girls will definitely need while on the diet. And the CLO is a must. It will help, period. The diet will help also. Wait a couple weeks (until you know you're not seeing any real negative reactions that are not going away) and then start the folinic and MB12, but do them together. He's giving you folinic and MB12 together as they work synergistically. Hope this helped! I obviously can't advise you on your situation, but if you trust your DAN doctor then you need to follow his advice. He has obviously assessed your girls and that's the treatment program he's come up with. If you've got concerns about it then you need to speak to him so that he can explain things further.Good luck with the treatment. What Julie said! I tend to get excited about new supplements and start too many things at one time. Don't make that mistake! You never know which one is working and/or making the child hyper, and you end up having to take all the new things out and try again. Good luck - I hope you see some great results! Thanks Julie and Janie! I'll keep you updated.![]() |
