Rotation-diet? Remove more? Add some?

Back to Autism Information >> Next Topic

Hi all,

we´ve been doing the diet for a while: milk is out since January, gluten and soy since march 1st. It was easier than expected, but now some more specific questions start to rise and I´d be very grateful for your input. My son is 4 and we think the diet contributes to his fast advances in ABA at the moment, but we haven’t seen any extreme reactions.

My questions:

How do you know if you need to do a rotation-diet?

How do you know if you need to try to remove other foods?

When can you start introducing now forbidden foods such as soyproducts or oats?

How “clean” do we need to be? Almost all fishoils contains a product from that usually comes from soy (tokofener in Swedish….) just as an example. And some products according to the labels “may contain traces of soy” – could that be acceptable as a one time thing or not?

How serious are small infractions?

as always, grateful for your help! /Una
