Surgery for ds He was never circumcised ,he was very premature and in foster care for his first 6 months so mom had the say in what we did up until then,so we couldn't ask to get it done ,now he needs it done because it is medically necessary. The Urologist said he would have done it in the office today ,if he didnt already have surgery scheduled for tomorrow ouch!!!!! I would have had to stand there and watch ,No freezing or anything,thankfully we dont have to do that,I know they do it to baby's but a 7 yo is a little different story,a new born doesn't have to walk out of the office after. THey did on my second son and my aunt that is a nurse says i should get it redone. Please update us. Ds will go in for Tubes in his ears(third set), and a circumcision tomorrow morning ,he is very nervous ,I only told him today ,so he wouldn't have to much time to worry,wish Us luck. Linda Ouch! I'm not sure of the age difference what it makes, but my ASD had two surgeries down there to correct a birth defect- the second one at 18 months and our main problem was keeping him still! After the first day he didn't seem to be in much pain- hope its the same with your son's. Good luck!  I'll be thinking of you. He did fine ,It stings when he pees but other than that he came through great,he has the long weekend to get better ,and wants to go out and drive his bike today!!!,You cant hold down a 7 yo, . I hope he has a quick recovery and I sure hope they prescribe him some pain relievers for the circumcision, i know they dont for babies which breaks my heart cuz they cant do much to let u know but he is 7 and that cant be fun at all!
