Taryn will finally have Texas Medicaid in a couple of weeks and we are searching for a psychiatrist, neuropsychiatrist or DAN doctor in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. We live in Amarillo, so it will be quite a drive, but Medicaid will help with the expenses and pay for the appt. Her current doc is in OKC, but will not be covered under Tx Medicaid. Isn't SA also a HUGE center for medical care? Have you exhausted possibilities, there? We haven't check San Antonio, because they are about 10 hours drive from us. Dallas is 7, which is still a long way, but not as bad. Also, we have family in Dallas to stay with. We are way up here in the panhandle, closer to 5 other state's capital than we are our own!! You know what they say: "Texas is like a whole other country!" (blush) need a MAP! DH is a geographer and would be HORRIFIED! Baylor is supposed to have a good Peds dept. but I do not know about neuro or psych. |
