Hi all. Well my son is receiving ABA therapy (through ECHO) and speech therapy through our regular tricare military insurance..I have been thinking about adding in OT also but I am just wondering if they will pay for this in addition to ST... Any advice on this? Thanks everyone. Jen I hope it pays for that kind of stuff, We have tricare and My sons ped said she was trying to get it approved with our insurance. we get ST and OT through Tricare I have been told that Tricare will only cover what the school district doesn'tprovide. If the child has OT at school, they might just assume that's good enough. If it isn't part of his IEP, they might assume that's because he doesn't need it. The best thing to do is make sure that all your child's care providers (schools, docs, ABAs... etc.) have access to the same information like the evaluations, and the IEP. A few years ago, when we initially tried for services, we did have to provide a copy of the IEP. Then they offered OT, but very limited ST. About 9 months ago tried again, and we were approved for both services without having to provide an IEP.
