B vitamins

Back to Autism Information >> Next Topic

Hello everyone,

My DW is wondering if anyone has had good luck with B vitamin
supplements. She has heard that these might help our son, who is dx ASD
and eats a pretty sporadic diet. He does still drink infant formula for 2 year
olds, for which we are thankful, but does not eat very many other foods.

Thanks for your comments. We do a sublingual liquid B complex every morning. Some parents I know
are doing the methyl B-12 shots but you have to get a prescription. I have
heard the shots can act fast. We have noticed a change since the B vitamins.
He seems to be more aware. Many of the liquids you will find will say
something like 2000% DV of B12 and thats okay. What isn't used is excreted
through urine. When you take a vitamin supplement (rather than getting
vitamins from food) chances are your body will only absorb a small amount
of it, but the liquid is supposed to be more absorbable than pills. Thats why
we do the liquid. Unlike most supplements, these products are made from organic foods, not synthetics. Visit the Naturally Nova Scotia website for more information.
