Touching story!
Katiesmom - EXACTLY what I was wondering! How was the ledge accessible to him? I mean, it's a special needs school and even in a mainstream school - I don't think a 3rd floor ledge would be accessible to a student here! (At least I certainly HOPE not!).
This is THAILAND.  Things are not so regulated there, unfortunately.

I loved it, and think how that would have worked with my son to. There are some good people doing great things for are kids out there.  That is really great.  However, it does make me wonder how the kid got on the ledge in the first place?!Katiesmom - EXACTLY what I was wondering! This story made all the newspapers in Norway, too.  I was thinking the guy was a real weirdo until I saw that he uses costumes for kid-friendly fire drills and demonstrations.

Got me all teary-eyed!

I can totally see how something like this would be needed ...

That was really cute, though I was wondering why he had the costume until the end lol. That is really neat.. I wonder if he always keeps the costume handy .
