Musical Instruments for Autistic Children

Back to Autism Information >> Next Topic

Hi there,

I'm with a group of friends who want to help get a piano donated to an autistic boy we know. If we have to raise the full price, we will push on until we do, but we are hoping someone out there will know of an organization that already handles things like this.. perhaps they recondition used pianos, or something like that. We're NOT looking for a price break, but hoping to support an organization that already does this. The family is in Texas if that matters.

Do you know of any? We would be very grateful if so!

Thank you,

Stephanie Have you checked Craigslist? Often you can find them for free-but may need tuning- or for a very small price.

Easter Seals maybe can help you, they give grants for big purchases like that.  Also check with United Way.

A good place to find cheap but good pianos is at the end of a school year at your local colleges.
