Everything's been challenging with Katie lately and quite honestly, I have not been pushing the potty training because I feel like I have to get her tantrums and meltdowns under control. Anyway, I still put her on the potty frequently but with absolutely no expectations. Afterall I've been doing it for a couple months now and nothing. Well I was at her school yesterday for parent training and I told her teacher I was going to take Katie to the restroom and change her diaper. So I put her potty seat on the toilet and sat her down. She looked me straight in the eye with look of fear/excitement and I heard it "tinkle, tinkle, tinkle". She did it. She finally did it. We made such a big deal over it and she was so excited. Now I know we are no where near getting her trained. But its a start of something good, for a change. Thanks for listening! Woo HOO! Yay for Katie ( and Katies Mom)Hey, that's a great start! Woohoo!HarrietOh, isn't progress sweet! You go Katie! Yay for you! Great start! |
