how to advocate for preschool

We are meeting with the preschool on this upcoming friday to discuss what my daughter will be given for services.  I have a couple concerns.  When the school has been doing their evaluations, they are not seeing the behaviors that we see every day.  My DD is diagnosed with PDD-NOS (possibly aspergers but too young to tell says doc) and she doesn't always display the same symptoms.  For instance, she has trouble with noises, foods/textures, clothing, lights, doesn't play with other children, runs in circles, etc but she doesn't do these things all the time.  During the eval she went into the preschool room without me, independently, and played next to the other chidlren in the sandbox.  The teachers were so impressed that it was noisy ther and she didn't even care.  However, there are times that we take herplaces and she frieks out over the smallest things...they are going to think I am lying about all her vomiting and anxieties since they are not seeing them.  My DD is highly verbal, knows her alphabet, can count to 100, fixates on letters and numbers, shredds paper/crayons, puts odd toys in her diaper and sits on them, throws up almost daily (which she is followed by an eating team since she was born)...but are they going to say she doesn't need the services since they are not seeing them?  I made videos to prove this is not mom making it up and posted it for them to view on youtube but they said they don't have time to look at these...what to do... I am really skeptical that this is autism too as she seems to want to interact...but just doesn't know how.  Any suggestions on how to advocate for her since she is so high funcitoning, but has so many sensory problems?Have you met with an advocate? Sometimes they can come to your home I believe and get information from you, then suggest what you should do if they see the symptoms also. And may also be able to come with you to the school on your behalf. My friends high funct. son is in preschool and they deny it also because they said they do not see it. She finally gave up. But, she never got the evaluation the school system should do, a full eval..Just play hard ball with them and let them know you mean business. My son didnt show serious symptoms also, and I went with the school until I did my research and finally pushed for things. It took me until he was in 2nd grade to get things really done. Dont wait, or they will walk over you. He could have had more help before, but it wasnt until this year, and now he really struggles with math, etc. and some other issues. The sooner the help, the better. :)

Thank you for that advice.  Ihave the advocate number from a meeting I jsut went to.  I will call them but didn't know if I was jumping the gun by calling them too soon.  My DD has periods where everything seems to be going great followed by severe anxieties which affect her daily activities such as sleeping, eating, etc. We went through 7 weeks where she didn't throw up at all back to every day occurrences...her fears get better and then worse again...a new thing that just started is that she is uncomforable in her clothing and moves her arms constantly to adjust herself...is this part of the symptoms?  This is completely new.  The school did note in their eval that she played next to the other children but not with them...  I added her videos as I am still having a hard time believing this is what my DD is experiencing www.youtube.com/threeredheads
