Play/Sharing/Originality - Floortime?

Hi all,
I tried to do a search of this, but it kept timing me out. Sorry mods!

almost 4 year old son. I would say my son's primary deficit seems to be his general engagement. His play is usually fairly repetitve, though there are moments where he surprises me a little.

He is very loving when we are with him, loves playing with us, and with other kids at gatherings, but he would be fine sitting by himself for hours playing with his trains. I don't think he would ever really come up to get us because he felt alone.

I have been inconsistently applying Floortime stuff at home, and he receives an hour of ST and OT. He talks "ok" for his age, but doesn't have the novelty of speech that other kids his age seem to have.

What can I do to improve his sharing/original commenting with us? Is Floortime/RDI the best answer? Have any of you tracked your kid's progress with Floortime and seen improvements? (I realize just getting older will change my son, too)

Thank you all so much.

Search in topic subject rather than message body and quite a bit of info comes up. Put in floortime. Hope that helps.
