OK, this was adorable...

...and it was progress.

BB used to kind of be afraid of the shower.  Not like a phobia, but once or twice he had turned it on when he was in the bath and the water came down on him and it scared him.  No biggie, but no matter how many times I tried he had no interest in taking a shower ever.  Always a bath.

This morning, as he has often done, he comes into the bathroom while I am showering and asks me what I am doing (like he doesn't know).
"Taking a shower baby, just like you take a bath to get clean."
"Oh.  Like my bath?"
"Yes, Sweetie.  Like your bath.  Do you want to try?"
"OK.  I can do that."

He pops in, we adjust him so no water in his eyes and a shower we had!

This is awesome because it means he is no longer afraid, no sensory issues around it and it bodes well for the future!

It made my morning!

Should this be in updates?  Maybe I'll move it.

Anyway, a quick post from work.  I was definitely smiling.

Ain't it Cool? I love it when T.J. does something that he was formerly afraid to do.

EXCELLENT!

T still has trouble with showers, right after waking, but any other time she is fine!  It is so much more efficient.

That's so cool.  We switched to showers because D WAS drinking the bath water, so he wet the bed on bath nights! kllylynn, DS did that too!

That's HUGE.  Especially considering how BB was about bath time before.  And, it's a nice bonding thing AND much faster than a bath.

Good job BB!

Way cool!! Congrats awww!!! that's great! my little guy just started taking showers also...can't agree with u more on the good feeling!!That's really awesome Way to go, BB.Yay!!!
You know they always say save water and shower with a friend!!Woohoo! Go BB!

He took another one with me this morning.    He said, "I love showers!"

I explained that this would not be a daily thing!

Little scamp.

Then he rocked out with some friends at Duckpin Bowling and we went out for lunch while DW stayed home waiting for an installation.  HAHAHAH  Daddy gets to do something fun for a change!

Being a Daddy is something fun. Doing fun things with our boys is something that is our right and priveledge.

We should be able to do that kind of stuff all of the time.

Too bad that life gets in the way sometimes.
