POTTY SUCCESS!

	i cannot believe it! my son is officially, completely potty trained! it took about two days to get major progress and a few more days to really get bladder awareness and *POOF*, no more accidents. no more anxiety of doing the deed, no more anxiety of the potty itself. nothing. it was like flipping a switch. i'm so proud of Caleb! i simply cannot believe it! Congrats  My son was the same way, once he got it, he got it and we didn't have any accidents after that.That's great news!  Congratulations! Harriet Yay Caleb!!!  Woo hoo!!! congrats!!   now if only i could have fthe same luck wit joel..my non autistic child.lolthank you! Congrats on that!!!  We are just about there my DS has had the mechancis down for over a year but we could never get him to just go on his own.  We brought out an old Super Why Potty Chart (haven't tried using it for 9 months) and right away he wanted to put his star on it.  So, no we just ask him if he wants a star and if he says he goes by himself.  I curious about how you did blatter awarness. Good for you!  I'm still working on my son because of his bowel issues.  Maybe one day ...   JJ Dad--as for bladder control, we went commando for a week because although he was very aware of his bowels, he wasn't of his bladder. it helped being naked because he didnt have layers to take off before reaching the potty--which helped his self esteem. he had quite a few accidents the first few days. we also used a little potty and had it out in the living room so he wasn't ever too far away from it. i'd let him play video games on it, i'd make him sit on it and give him chocolate treats, and he just finally got it. we failed several times before but it was because he had extreme anxiety for the potty. now, he is over it. your little man sounds right on the edge. DIAPERS were comfortable, therefore Caleb didn't worry about the pee thing and pull ups and underwear were too much like diapers... naked = caleb's awareness. hope that helps!
