Hi Everybody, I was so excited over the past couple weeks. The new semester has started at my son's school and we had several classes to change. The school had put him in the resource room 2 blocks on one day and 1 block on the second (they do 8 blocks 4 each day rotated, it is confusing to me but the kids seem to understand it..lol.) He is in Science, Social Studies, Applied Reading, and does Math in the resource room. We were able to switch him from 2 resource blocks to 1 by adding an elective and I got a call yesterday that a new Math class was forming this Semester that would be a good fit for my son so with a little bit of work we were able to drop another resource block and add the Math class. This is his first year in Middle School and I was a nervous wreck over how it was going to work. He does have a modified workload in the classes but sometimes I wonder because of the homework doesn't really look modified to me. But, we are so excited that the school is starting to see his potential and with his first semester's grade card we know he can handle it, they were all A and B s. Great news! Tiffany |
