Hi my daughter is 6yrs old and hasn't a diagnosis of anything but is at the beginning of assessment to see what is going on, anyway today i found a site smartcat learning it sees what kids strengths and weaknesses are in development/education, she sat as good as gold for over 40mins doing it herself and it came up with she is above average in a lot of things but her weaknesses are theory of mind, ie doesn't recongize if someone gets upset, angry, stressed basically doesn't empathize with anyone, she also as weakness in language she is unable to follow instructions, and it basically said because of this she will struggle in education, which she is, it also does a dyslexia screener which said she is showing signs due to her cognitive abilities. I thought it was really good, she is going to be assessed at school by a speech therapist, who noticed that when we were there for 30mins she was in her own world and doesn't do much eye contact but said her spoken speech was within normal perameters. Has anyone else done an online assessment? How would you rate them? Sharon xDaniel has dyslexia also. Dyslexic people learn differently. This is a processing problem. She should be in the dyslexic program as well. Small steps for people like her. |
