Ds is only on fish oil at the moment but, I am looking to add some vitamins for him. We currently doing HBOT, so Julie you will probably know what vitamin formula will best support this therapy.
------------------------------------------------------------ --- Mom2Aiden, 6 autism Who are you doing HBOT with? Are you doing hard or soft? You need him on vitamins, but more importantly antioxidants ASAP. The antioxidants are to prevent added oxidative stress from the chamber which lots of our kids have. You want to have him on Vitamin C, CoQ10, or grape seed extract (or resveratrol). I cannot stress how important that is when doing HBOT. How much does your son weigh? That will guide your dosages for antioxidants. Are you looking for a multivitamin, or are you looking for specific individual vitamins? If you're just looking for a multivitamin, check out Brainchild Nutritionals: http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/Brainchild_Nux.html My kiddo is doing great on their Advanced Sensitive forumula, and he takes it easier than any of his other supplements. I'm with Julie though, get those antioxidants going, and you might want to also add Evening Primrose Oil to get the other omegas in. http://www.autism.com/treatable/adams_biomed_summary.pdf
There are other sites to purchase supplements as well: Websites to purchase supplements: http://www.ecolifeus.com/index.asp https://www.wellnesshealth.com/ http://www.leesilsby.com/products.html http://www.integrativeinc.com/go/integrativeinc/home.aspx?al ias=integrativeinc&tabalias=home We are now using Spectrum Complete from Kirkman's and are very happy with it.antioxidants, phytonutrients, healthy oils.high protein meals, low starch meals.little processed foods. Add liquid supplements to juices is good also. [QUOTE=JulieA]Who are you doing HBOT with? Are you doing hard or soft? You need him on vitamins, but more importantly antioxidants ASAP. He recently got diagnosed with PDD-NOS, ADHD, Expressive Language Disorder. And we are considering the HBOT option. How has your experience with HBOT been? How effective would you consider it as compared to other treatments like therapies, bio-medical, diets, chelation, etc. Is there a particular order in which you would recommend these treatments? Also as far as HBOT is considered, would you recommend a particular schedule? Right now he is on these supplements: (1) Fish Oil, (2)Methyl B12 (oral), (3) Folinic Acid - started recently, (4) Brainchild Nutritionals-Spectrum Support - started recently. Additionally when do I need to have him on antioxidants - is it during the session or any time during the day? And how many days prior to starting the HBOT should I have him on antioxidants? What should the dosage be? He weighs about 30 lbs. Also is it important to do the GFCF before HBOT? I am thinking of using enzymes to address GFCF. Do I need to address Yeast issues before HBOT? I am not sure whether my son has Yeast. How can I tell? Is it necessary to be on a yeast free diet to kill the yeast? Thanks and regards, Arpita. |
