gaba GABA serves as a neurotransmitter.  It prevents nerve cells from firing too much, thus having a calming effect.what is it? Does anybody give their child GABA??  Any thoughts on that??? Nupur [/QUOTE] What are you doing to reduce the ammonia.  Both of my kids had this issue in Jan/ Feb.  They were put on grapeseed (GPO) phytosome and some other supplements that reduced the ammonia in a month.  For instance, my son's ammonia was 52 when it shouldn't have been above 32.  Within a month, it dropped down to 17.  The same with my daughter.  Although my son suffered from dysbiosis at the time so he had a lot of yeast and bacteria going on too that we gradually have resolved.  I was just curious as to your approach because there are so many different methods out there.
