ah something that might be worth looking at. I believe those 2 go hand in hand? http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=JYq0U-Use8s http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=HfIUxiLEhoU Knowing that we spent thousands of dollars on dangerous, painful, expensive and unsuccessful programs or therapies. No meds? or any other invasive treatments (I think, and hope). You can't go wrong giving this a shot. Would like to hear feedback if anyone's tried this. Thanks a bunch What was in that cap? Magic pixie dust? ??? Lavendar oil??? I am def. intrigued! Our dd doesnt have ADHD so I skipped that one. she needs to be more hyper. I'd love to know what was in that cap too..... As for the ADHD one... go back and watch it through Shelley. If that kid is ADHD then I'm the Queen of Sheba.... that child is ASD!!! Listen to his mother talk about the therapies that the school recommended..... his self limiting of foods, his over sensitivity to noises, refusal to leave the house, extreme anxiety and inability of their family to go ANYWHERE due to his issues. Watch him, well, stim.. for lack of a better word (not full blown stimming, but certainly something) while his mother is talking to the camera. When he is not being addressed it's like he's not there.... Maybe I'm seeing things that are not there? I googled this MAP, for ADHD and didn't come up with much of anything. Care to explain exactly what these videos are referencing? [QUOTE=JulieA]I'd love to know what was in that cap too..... As for the ADHD one... go back and watch it through Shelley. If that

Unfortunately I only know as much as what the video shows. What I do know tho, is that there more heard of options out there that I have not yet seen work well. If anyone investigates more about it, please advise
Cheers I get essential oils--all natural ones from nature's way--lavender is one, and even brought some back with me from England, from the lavender fields in the W. Midlands. I spray it on Taylor's pillow and bedding--is supposed to be super relaxing. Well, hasn't done much except--her room smells very pretty. :) I agree that kid had an ASD flair.. And he still reminded me of it, though very high functioning! MAPS is Monitored Multi-cortical Activities for Additional Pathways and Synapses. It relies on scents and the stimulation of other senses to get the brain to repair itself. I did go to a seminar that was naturally minded about 3 mo ago. There was someone else speaking on retraining the pathways and synapses, but I believe it was through natural food supplements. Honestly from studying retraining that area of the brain I could see how this MAPS stuff would work in some. Here is the MAPS companies website: http://www.gordonpomarescentre.com/ Here is some article, blogs, book excerpts, etc: http://books.google.com/books?id=-pMoBh2TffgC&pg=PA128&a mp;a mp;lpg=PA128&dq=Claudie+Gordon-Pomares&source=web&am p;am p;ots=OyRoTVoudA&sig=jQKjjvh1ScnR2Fgq9X8hQnjufcM&hl= en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=7&ct=result#PP A125,M1 http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/autism/selling-hope.html http://www.isabellasprogress.blogspot.com/ http://adoptioniscool.com/MAPS.htm Here is the ladys resume: http://claudiegordonpomares.emurse.com/ And now.. my opinion. Nothing works on Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, etc ALL THE TIME. BUT I am living proof, err.. my son is, that GFCF diet seems to seriously have healed him, or brought him out of what was considered classic autism. I also have 3 other autistic children that the same diet, protocol, supplements, did not help in the same way. Does that mean I think GFCF diet doesn't work? NO! It means it IS the answer for some people, and it won't work for all. My son went from "classic ASD" to wow, we will probably be independant and be able to work! The way I see life is I will keep trying to find my kids "answers" to help them. Because if one thing out there I try makes a huge difference in quality of life then the path of things I tried that didn't work wasn't wasted time. It was an education. I would never ever tell anyone that a specific thing that didn't work for me was a waste, because that may be their ticket to what truly helps their child. So... about this lady, I'm interested but skeptical. However, knowing it works with some would make me want to at least learn "what" she does and "how" she does it. I don't see myself figuring out how to get the $ to go see her anytime soon.. But if money grew on trees I might ;) They have a "try it free for 2 weeks". And they have a forum. They also have a video presentation on their site called "virtual tour" And she sells a book called "Autism is not a Life Sentence" on her website. Two weeks free? hmm..If it's free and it doesn't require anything orally that is questionable I would give it a go. I appreciate all the info posted. You've obviously done a lot more research on this one than I now feel I should have. Thank you for your view, it is very refreshing. I'm heading out but will come back to read up on what you've just posted. Thanks again. |
