Sarah got an award~UPDATE!!! How Exciting for her what a great idea from the teacher. I think you have a winner there. Congratulation on your award Sarah.  Wow - that is great.  You must be so very proud of that girl!  What a wonderful opportunity for Sarah, glad to see she's doing so well! Warmest Congratulations! EXCELLENT!  Way to go Sarah -- and Shelley, her teacher sounds WONDERFUL!Frame that award!!! I bet she will get teacher of the year someday Sarah has been able to help read for some of the kids with directions and helping with addition & subtraction as well....I thought the teacher was wonderful for letting her mentor other kids~it helps her socially..she gets to be the boss and gets her closer to her peers:) Today she came home with a nice award for being such a "Great Peer Tutor! " Her teacher knows she wants to be a teacher when she grows up so she put on it that she will be a great teacher one day!...I have one PROUD girl on my hands:) So happy to get a wonderful teacher that knows how to make my childs day..she also is spelling words wrong on purpose on the board so that Sarah can correct her on them and sentences that dont make sense..so funny because Sarah thinks she is smarter than the teacher:) Too cool! 9/19~Yesterday she got a "Star student" award where ALL the kids had to VOTE for their favorite student..she WON!!!! Another award and all the kids wrote little notes of WHY she was chosen.."she is helpful", "she is nice", "she is fun" one wrote "she is reasonable" ...she gets to be line leader all next week..eat lunch with teacher, help her with things in class...She is on top of the world:) Me too!
