Bummed :( Hayden got denied for services and I was so sure he was going to get them so now im totally depressed  This is his second time being denied from ALTCS so I was kinda expecting them not to qualify him because he has come a long way since the first time we applied so it would be surprising to get qualified now but its just that the same nurse came to our house and seemed very concerned about him but I talked to the lady at the office today and she said it was sent to physician review because even tho the nurse said he really needed the services  he didnt meet the the PAS cutoff (its a eligibility point system) but the 'physician review' can over rule the nurse and denied him. Im going to keep applying and maybe hel get approved by next year but im totally depressed right now! And im also thinking maybe he doesnt need it because why would they deny him if he did? But i know he does and the fact that the nurse who interviewed us recommended that he needs services encourages me but being denied again does not.
