EEG ResultsYou stated your ds "still had 2 seizures". Did he have them during test? Was EEG the overnight kind, or just the "short" one? Did your doctor advise that you do NOT act on it (i.e., put on meds)? So sorry for all the nosy questions, but trying to understand. If my ds only has slight seizures - than there is nothing they (dr.) would do anyway? Anyway, I'm happy you feel relieved. ![]() I agree. How can an EEG result be "all is well" and then the child has two seizures. Perhaps they are not seizures at all. And what does "act on it" mean? All was normal for my 3 year old as far as his EEG showed ,he still had two seizures and if he has more we may have to Act on it, but for now I'm just Relieved Linda Phew!!! I've heard of kids and adults having seizures for just odd, goofy, even viral reasons and they never come back again. Glad you can rest easier!!!Hope he is stable and there will be no more of these..I had 3 seizures when I was under 5 for no reason and remember having a EEG done before starting school..I never had another seizure?? I didnt talk till I was 3 and am guessing if I was born today I would be diagnosed pdd or mild autism..seems alot of kids on the spectrum have had seizures and then grew out of them. I know my mom stated that they were considered "grand mal" so it was a big deal at the time. I have no memories of them..only the EEG. I had to be perfectly still and it was very difficult for me....took a LONG time to finish it. I would watch him closely: ) Glad the test came back negative. Sigh of relief! |
