The face of extreme oral hypersensitvity
My Pooh tries really hard to take a bite...As any mother will be able to see, it takes a lot of effort for him to even try to eat (I beleive this is bread with jelly). Of course he has one of his beloved DVD cases and Daddy helps and encourages him. This pic shows me how very difficult it is for him and how hard he tries to overcome.  Jean38632.9218287037Poor baby! There is hope though, my son was so difficult with food that
he wouldn't even touch any solids until he was over 1. Then he
did the 3 or 4 foods thing. now he can eat virtually anything.
With all the techniques that OT and speech therapists use real progress
can be made.
He looks adorable, both in that picture and your avatar. In fact although it´s obvious that he´s not enjoying it, at least you´re not having to force it down his throat, he´s actually doing it himself, which I think is fabulous. Congratulations to both you and him. |
